Singing Quarter
Take a small piece of dry ice with a gloved hand press a quarter against the dry ice to create the singing quarter.
Fog
Use a flat pan and fill 1/3 full of HOT water. Add 3-4 small dry ice chunks every 10-15 minutes. This will use approximately 40 pounds of dry ice per hour. Dry Ice in HOT water will create a low-lying fog effect. For best results the water MUST be HOT.
Pumpkin
Put a small piece of dry ice inside of a cup of HOT water and place it inside of a carved pumpkin. (Smoke will come out of the eyes, nose & mouth)
Party Drink
Put a bowl of punch inside of a larger bowl of warm water with small pieces of dry ice. Or place the dry ice inside of a tea ball and place it inside the punch (although this will carbonate the punch, sometimes too much).
Witches Brew
Put small pieces of dry ice inside a kettle, bucket or caldron that is 1/3 full of HOT water. (You will use approximately 5-10 lbs. per hour)
Bubble effect
Put dry ice into a good sized plastic container with a couple inches of HOT water and a small amount of dish detergent. This results in a large amount of bubbles that when they burst give off a puff of smoke, this is messy.
Tombstone
Make cardboard tombstones and place a few in your yard. Put dry ice inside of a flat pan and add HOT water. Place behind tombstones for a creepy effect. Add dry ice and HOT water as needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Always
use Dry Ice in a WELL ventilated area, use gloves to handle and
wear eye protection.
Adult supervision is strongly recommended.
